Quito Pop 2004

Located in the financial center of the city, Quito Pop was born from the renovation of an old single-family house.

With a groundbreaking design, it is projected on three floors that house a terrace-café, a restaurant and a cocktail lounge. Its interior design shows an explicit desire to recreate a distinctly urban atmosphere.

The façade had to reflect the emblematic character of its spatial concept; to this end, a dynamic polycarbonate roof was designed to materialize the concept of transparency and lightness where practicality and aesthetics go hand in hand.

An image is managed from the lobby that invites the visitor to enter and discover every corner of the restaurant. For this purpose, a series of diverse elements are designed along the route to the bathrooms, located at mid-level, with the intention of establishing a link between the ground and upper floors.

Inside, Graciela Cobos dressed the walls with panoramic photographs of Quito inspired by pop art and designed the furniture with clean and defined lines.

The dynamic character of the outdoor space and the colorful furnishings of the terrace create a unique, urban and welcoming space that encourages gathering at any time of the day.
