Hermida Apartment 2019

In one of the most luxurious areas of Madrid, with traditional distribution and standards of another era, the Hermida duplex was built. The new design of strong contemporary language with straight and pure lines is stripped of everything unnecessary to create simple and bright spaces.

On the first floor, the kitchen is moved to achieve more proportionate environments and capture more natural light through the old openings, in addition to making the service terrace independent.

On the upper floor, the existing geometry is exploited to the maximum and the master bedroom is moved to a better oriented and more illuminated place, with a private bathroom, two dressing rooms under the sloping roof and its own terrace.

The project is fitted out by Modulnova with kitchen furniture, Duravit with sanitary ware and Porcelanosa with ceramic material. For greater thermal comfort, underfloor heating and central air conditioning are installed. The white walls and neutral colors in shades of gray leave a canvas for the client to customize the environments.
