Barbell Club 2023 Gymnasium

The first floor of a residential building in the Eixample district of Barcelona is the place where a project for the care of the body and mind in a personalized way is proposed.
The entrance, waiting and beverage space is a path defined by the hard floor; the bathroom is kept in the original place and next to it are located 2 dressing rooms. The 40% of the diaphanous area is destined to directed exercises and meditation for which a soft floor and open black ceiling are proposed with the idea of being outdoors, the other 60% is dressed with rubber floor to seat the machines and white ceiling with the idea of dividing and contrasting both environments.
Illuminated mirrors on the right wall visually double the space and light. On the others, vinyls with shadows of people in action together with the color yellow are powerful elements that reinforce the idea of a sporting space.
The facade, including the entrance door, is all glass, where 2 IPN beams in a corporate color serve as a lintel supporting re-used weights that easily identify the premises and its function.
