House
Jama, Ecuador
In the province of Manabí, we built a house facing the infinite sea, inspired by the popular architecture of the area. At the very edge of the waters of the Pacific Ocean.
To materialize this project, we built on the first floor a solid base with a large central covered/open space, equipped with a summer kitchen to support and develop recreational activities by the pool and as a backdrop, the sea. Two guest rooms, service area and parking on the sides close this level.
Upstairs the entire program of the house of the 5 members of the family is developed, where the open terrace works as air conditioning as it allows the gentle breeze to cross all the rooms and out through the top cooling at all times the rooms.
Over the bare white structure, a thatched roof tops the project, as a local symbol and an integrating material with the surrounding units.
