Residential Complex
Quito, Ecuador
The project included modernizing the image, regulating and dynamizing the vehicular entrance to the El Condado Urbanization.
For this purpose, six clearly defined vehicular entrance roads were created: three for residents, one for visitors and two for members of the Quito Tennis and Golf Club. Two exits at the southern end condition the waiting of vehicles so that the guards have control.
The architectural proposal contemplates a sophisticated 60-meter long white curved frieze suspended and supported by a colonnade at the north end that rests on an overflowing mirror of water.
The frieze crosses the main access road and is anchored at the top of a column covered with black mosaic and red Murano glass from which water flows from above, keeping this element permanently wet and shiny.
The guard booths are a plastic play of volumes surrounded by generous green areas, creating a simple and orderly space that generates a more pleasant sensation for users in the access and control area.
